Another good repeater looking for users.
John G4BAO and friends have upgraded this repeater with a Ryde input. Now fully digital the access range has increased where I can access it from my QTH in Bedfordshire at 52km. G4HJW, G4BAO, G4CPE and M0SKM can be found on there at various times. There's no stream as yet but I believe there are plans to provide one in time. If anyone wants to test access I can provide a temporary stream.

Hi Steve
I didn’t realise it was back on …
According to Cambridge repeater group it’s off air
Will have a look for it …can hear and get into GB3PS FM a repeater if I put the 23cms beam vertical so some sort of path that way from east Essex

Hi Steve,
Output is 1316MHz as before, symbol rate 1M/s, DVBS-2.
Input from 333 to 2M/s Ryde will search.

Let me know how you get on, best signal is evenings after dark.

I have used GB3PS but only from Dunstable Downs, I can hear it from home but no access.

Not quite right - Ryde will only scan preset SR, not the full range....

GB3PV will decode 333/500/1M/s and 2M/s.

John G4BAO visited the site this morning and has cured the receiver fault, so GB3PV should be working again. Please try it and post reports here!

Hi all,

I'm still a little suspicious that the 5V supply to the RX is low as it shows the"flash" in the top right of the screen. This could well have been the root cause of the issue as it was stuck, mid reboot. (it's bewyound my comprehension why the Raspi should have been designed to need well over 5V to work reliably!)
I'm suspicious it could be the cable/plug/socket from the PSU rack to the RX that's a bit dodgy causing volt drop under some conditions . Turning the volts up is a SMD soldering iron job in the SMPSU, not doable on site, so I'm going to leave it alone for now, as it's working.

If anyone would like to try a QSO email me (john@g4bao.com).
Don't ask here as I don't check in very often. Until I work out how to make the forum "push" messages at me it'll stay that way as life's too short to check in ever day and see if there's anything interesting!

Dave,
Good reception here in IO91RV; MER 11.2 at present.
G4CPE monitored while I put a signal in and it was stable with no sign of the PSU problem. It would be real handy if PV was streamed.
