Space Station Digital Amateur Radio TV System Transmitter Determined to be Defective

I just received an ARRL bulletin about the HamTV transmitter on board the IISS. Tests with a different ISS antenna on June 01 confirmed that the DATV transmitter is defective. Onboard repair are not possible. The ARRL bulletin reported that "ON4WF said ARISS plans to return the transmitter to Earth to repair, pending space agency approvals and availability of ARISS funds".
