Solar testing, dish allignment with Pluto +

Post by kb3pmr » Wed Jan 22, 2025 10:10 pm

Just got Pluto + working. I would like to test my dish and patch alignment with it as opposed to the TT1600 to see any difference. Anyone with any experience with the best band and frequency for the Pluto or Pluto + to measure the sun and dish accuracy their input would be greatly appreciated.

I did it on 10 GHz via a Bullseye LNB. About 10dB of noise lift measured just below the QO100 Transponders. That was in March but it really depends on the solar flux.
