BBC OB in 1967

A great film about the live coverage of the climb of the Old Man of Hoy in 1967. It took 8 microwave hops to get the pictures back to Glasgow.
Great shots of the large cameras being rigged in very difficult locations.

The scanner had to be derigged into a tent as the scanner could not get over the bog.

Ian McNaught-Davis (1929-2014), best remembered for the MicroLive programme, was one of the climbers. http://www.tnmoc.org/news/notes-museum/ ... -1929-2014
