I am having problems getting my MiniTioune working. Running TestMyMiniTioune_V2_3 I get the following output.
Have I got a faulty Tuner (SERIT FTS-4434LV ?
TIA

Re: No NIM Detected
Which MiniTiouner hardware do you have?
Brian
Brian
Re: No NIM Detected
V2 Board, FTS-4334 tuner and the other major parts supplied by BATC
Re: No NIM Detected
Have you fitted the resistor to the FTDI module?

...are you sure I can't use a pair of 813's?...
Re: No NIM Detected
I'm using v2.0a of the tester, but even without the resistor, the program does report the decoder chip in the NIM being found at I2C address 0xD2 and then it says "Incompatible hardware".
Check voltages from the regulator.
Your output shows that it's failing when it tries to detect the NIM on the I2C bus. If you have a scope, look at SDA and SCL on J7 near the FT2232H module. This is the I2C bus and you should see some activity when the test runs.
Check the values of R4 and R5 under the FT2232H. These are pullup resistors for the I2C bus.

Re: No NIM Detected
Thanks for your help guys
Have found the problem with a very strong magnifying glass.
A very fine whisker of solder between pins 1 & 2 of J7, dragging SCL down to ground.
