It seems impossible to buy any of these without waiting months for stock to become available. Any one got any ideas where to find them or a alternative?

Farnell have plenty of 28C0236-0BW-10 in stock. They are the same core but wound to give axial wires instead of radial.

There is a spare hole in the core so you could easily just push the wire from one end back through it to make it radial. If the wire is not long enough then just add a new piece through the hole and solder it to the existing. That would turn it into a -0EW variant.

The only difference between the -0EW and the -0JW is an insulating strip over the wires. As long as you mount it carefully so that the windings do not touch the board you don’t need that.

Hi Everyone - don't over analyse the circuit - these are RF chokes and there is not a problem substituting something else, it won't make a huge difference. You don't need to have exactly the same parts, it's not a tuned circuit or anything like that, they are there to clean up the power supply lines.
