After three years I finally built my Minitiouner ver 2 Kit from BATC shop.
Thankfully it passed all of the power setup test for the 3.7 to 4 volts
regulator and all voltages on the RFC ferrites checked ok. I Fitted the
Serit tuner and FTDI module and powered it up plugged it all into the PC.

Now this is were the problem arises using the supplied software and
recommendations the LAV filters fail to install with the error message
"Unable to registerDLL/OCX:RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x5.
I have tried repeatedly to resolve this problem via the BATC forum
and re reading all the available PDF and read me files.

I did try the LAV filter in my old ageing Win XP machine and it installed without a
problem.The one I am currently using is a Quad Core 12 Gig of RAM and SSD machine
Win Seven Ultimate.I will post picture of my test and error messages to date linked
to this post and would appreciate any help or advice so I can finally get to see some
live DATV from Es'Hail Sat.

Are you installing as Administrator?

I googled it and there are lots of posts but all quite old and Windows 7. The LAVFilters-0.71-Installer.exe file worked OK for me. Must be something simple.

Thanks to all those that replied to my query about registering usrc.ax
and the LAVFilters install.I ended up trawling the net for many hours in
search of an answer. I ended up downloading a third party utility called
dllregsvr (link below for those experiencing a similar problem) which
swiftly registered my usrc.ax file which was a 32 bit software on an all 64
bit system.

I also installed a separate codec package with which installed LAV filters
and software and now the Minitiouner works fine.I value my privacy to much
to install Win Ten and it would make a lot of my perfectly good hardware
useless.New is not always better...!.
