FT2232 programming

I have followed the instructions here (http://www.vivadatv.org/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=379) and I have 2 modules which do not 'see' the NIM. AFAIK PortA is set up as an RS232 port, PortB as a 245 FIFO and both using the D2XX drivers but any combination of these is not successful. So my question is; has anyone else seen and cured this?

I'm beginning to think that the modules are faulty because 2 from BATC are fine... HELP!

TIA, Steve

Hi Steve,

Not really posted in the right thread but not to worry (I'll get forum admin to move it).

The xml template file used to program all BATC shop units is available for download on this page - worth a try before putting them in the bin :-)

Thanks for that , Noel.

One has been recovered (working normally) by saving the template file from a known good module and simply applying and programming that. However the other does not respond to the identical treatment. Since no excessive current is drawn I cannot believe it is inherently faulty.

What I would add is that the pull-down resistor _must_ be added when using the Serit tuner, but then I expect you all knew that?

Glad you got one going.

Yes, you do need the resistor mod when running V.8 and later s/w (previous issues do not need it).

It is of course documented on the wiki https://wiki.batc.org.uk/MiniTiouner_hardware_Version_2 :-)

....and on the plus side, v 0.8 supports an OLED display. Also on the Wiki.
