The message I get is: Minitioner with NIM Serit FTS 4333 detected Minitiouner schematic
Please wait 10 sec Minitioner is loading

I wait more than 10 minutes and nothing is happening. I have tried it several times, same result.

I'm a bit new to amateur tv and don't really know what to expect. I last built something in the 1970's

Thanking you in anticipation.

What did the test my minitiouner diagnostics program say? All green? Are you running Windows XP? 8, 7, 10 ? It is powerd up?

I am using Win 7.
Everything on the test is coming up with 0 writing errors and 0 reading errors except for the very last item which is "Dipole master init is not OK ".
I have no idea what any of it means.
It is all powered up, the Serit unit is mildly warm, the USB cable is an expensive Lindy one. Everything is as spec including the resistor on the mini module.

At this step, the problem seems not to be the MiniTiouner, but perhaps the software installation.

What says the second test software "CheckMiniTiouneDriverAndFilters_V0_5a" ?

(Digole master test is only used if you have installed a LCD "Digole" on the I2C line, so if you test it and there is no LCD the result is not OK)

Has anyone recently experienced the same thing? When I start the
program, it appears the white splash screen "Please Wait 5 sec,
Minuitioune V0.9 is loading...". ...forever!

I am using for the most recent stable version as of today: 0.9.9.1h.

I did the following so far:
  • - All checks of drivers and filters are OK.
-Minitiouner test gives also OK. I2C performance: 81%.
-The machine is a brand new intel i5 10th generation running Windows 10 Pro.
    -Original Motherboard ports are used.
    -No firewall, no antivirus interfering.
-No event is being logged in the Windows Event Manager.
With a much older machine, the hardware (Minitiouner v2.0) is equally
detected and the program opens fine. However, I2C performance is very
low and the machine ( a 2008 Celeron) is barely usable for this kind
of application).

The question -beyond solving my particular problem with my particular
machine - is the following:

How can we know what is the software trying to do while the message
"Please Wait 5 sec, Minuitioune V0.9 is loading..." is shown?

It would be great to have a way to debug this on my side, assuming the
problem comes from my machine. But the software gives no hint.

Can anyone please suggest a method to debug this problem?

Thanks in advance.

All my problems disappeared when I replaced the mentioned software with the Ryde one. It is great there is now open software made by and for radio amateurs. Kudos to all the designers of this marvel.
