Christmas present

Post by G1BVI » Wed Dec 27, 2017 3:53 pm

Hope everyone had a Happy Christmas.

I now know why my brother was so interested in my projects and insisting I did not start till 2018!!
a digikey package was under the tree :)

Today I made the Mini Tiouner and what a well designed bit of kit with everything fitting.

The only problems I had in constructon were missing M3 nuts and bolts which are not on the BOM.
I finally managed to get some from screwfix. and also there were no jumpers on the BOM.
one is required for the PSU enable and one to put a DC Voltage on the RF input.

Having got round those problems I now find that all my phone charger USB cables that I had naievley asumed would fit are too small.

I have placed an order with Lindy so maybe tomorrow I will get it all working.

73 to all and a Happy 2018

Ah - assumed everyone had jumpers and M3 hardware in their junkboxes - they don't need to be M3 just sufficient to hold down the regulators. The phone is a mini-USB. There are many USB standard connectors unfortunately and this one is now two standards back in time. When you get one, make sure its not designed just for charging.
