LNB power setup

This, I believe, is my first post on the forum (getting old so can't remember).
I am so pleased to have built the MiniTiouner and all seems well (at least to a complete newbie)
Having built this great piece of kit, I realise that without a lot more time on antenna systems, I can't test it on air.
Can someone advise me on ways to feed power to a domestic LNB so that I can at least demonstrate the system while I am learning about pre-amps and antennas?
I've never been up this high in the radio spectrum before!

Which MiniTiouner pcb do you have? V1 (green) or V2 (blue).

G0MJW did the pcb for the MK2, so hopefully he can confirm this.

Place a jumper on J3, which is near the 12v power socket. Check that there is now 12v on the upper NIM F socket.
Connect the upper NIM socket to a Sky dish.
Start the MiniTioune software.
In the frequency setting area in the top left of the screen, put 09750000 into the OFFSET box.
Click the PLUS / MINUS indicator next to it so that it shows MINUS.
Put 10758000 into the FREQ box.
Put 22000 into the SR box.
Further down from the FREQ box, below the frequency buttons, check that DVB-S and Fplug-A are selected.

You should get ITV in the video box.

There are several channels on each Sky transponder and these should appear on the buttons at the top right of the screen, below PIDs.
A 12v supply will select vertical transponders. Use 12v rather than 13.8v, to stay below the switching threshold for horizontal transponders.
Other transponder frequencies can be found at https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html
The symbol rate (SR) and DVB-S / DVB-S2 setting may need to be changed for other transponders.

That should work - but there is a polyfuse in line to prevent accidents and damage to the tuner and PCB in case you short the output. If your LNB is taking too much current it will operate, so check there really is still 12V once the LNB is connected. It should be fine with most LNBs.
