loading the miniTioune for the first time

On test my mini tuner V1.3b page I have two green lights and a message
When I select test NIM I get:
Trying to get Demodulator serial number
Error: impossible to read correct value from Demod chip
any suggestions

With both the units I've built I had problems with the usb module socket - reseating it a few times helped. Other than that I'd check the
IC that's under it is the right way round and no bent pins. Failing that I'd run an iron round the usb module socket pins and check all those joints
are ok. Other than that there's not too much to go wrong!

all the hardware looks good just don't know where the demod chip is

Hi Mike,

Demod chip is in the tuner.

Which tuner / NIM are you using?

Suggest you check the volts on the various PSU rails then maybe ask Colin if you can swoop out the USB module / NIM to see if they are faulty - we've not had any board faults so likely to be joints or PSU related.

and will find out if it is hard ware or software
I got the FT2232 h from batc set up
