Odd Minitioune audio issue

Using version V1_0_1_0r_beta I am suddenly finding using the VLC decoder neither the volume slider nor the mute button work. Audio output is fixed at full volume.

Using "Graph" decoder full audio control resumes. I tend to mainly use OT, but don't recall this issue with Minitioune... Anyone any ideas please? Thanks.
