Nigel,

1300 Saturday is usually the start of the formal presentations. In the morning, there may be workshops and informal demonstrations of equipment that people have brought, bring and buy, equipment checking. Sunday usually starts in the morning with presentations.

Here's the programme for CAT15 at Finningley ARS. http://www.batc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=4209

Below is version1 of the program for CAT17 - all timings are approximate and it is still liable to change as we may add items on digital only repeaters or an Eshailsat update but want to leave time for the informal discussions....

The good news is that Kevin and FRC have agreed to run the antennae test range on the Sunday - so bring along your beams for any band between 70cms and 24GHz and see just how good (or bad) they really are! Be good to see as many as possible to make it worth the effort in setting the range up.

We hope to run a session looking at why you need filters and why you need to back off your PAs when running DATV - if you fancy running the session or at least helping out, please let us know!

Edit: Final Agenda published HERE: http://www.batc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=5157

Remember this is your show so let us have any feedback / comments now so we can include what you want to see happening during the weekend.

We have still not found a guaranteed way to get the stream out of the site yet - so the only way you can guarantee to hear it all is to be there!

And if you do intend to come along, don't forget to register or you may not get any lunch! http://www.g0ghk.com/events/cat17/ This is primarily so they can see how many people to cater for at Lunch Time and also give us an idea of how many may attend the informal dinner on Saturday night. If you are thinking of coming to CAT17, please register now - no money is taken at registration but you will be charged £10 a day by FRC. This is primarily to pay for lunch and the free tea and coffee but you will be expected to pay if you attend, even if you do not have the lunch or free drinks.

Final agenda looks like this:

Edit: See final Agenda here http://www.batc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=5157

Don't forget to register or you won't get any lunch!

We have the antennae test range range confirmed so bring along your beams, verticals and dishes etc on nay band between 432 MHz and 24 GHz and the team will tell you just how good (or bad) they really are.

And we are still looking for volunteers to run / help run the PAs and filters session on Sunday afternoon.

Hope to see you all there.

73 on behalf of the BATC committee.

As there's no way I can get to CAT17 this year, or watch it live by streaming, will anything be available as a stream or download at a later date? I'm especially interested in anything Portsdown/amplifier/filter/ADALM-PLUTO related.

Hi Dave

We aim to stream the Convention (4G permitting). The link will be published here.

The powerpoints and hopefully the videos will be published afterwards.
