C920 webcam extension?

Using a Portsdown 4 and Logitech C920 webcam.
I've tried extending the webcam cable with a good quality screened extension but I only get a green screen, no image.
Are there any cables known to work. 1 or 2 metres long.

You probably need to use an active USB cable acting as a booster. A friend had this problem with such a camera and an active USB cable fixed it. USB is a PITA for many purposes, in my humble opinion. Such as in this case...

60 feet of HDMI cable on a camera here with no noticeable degradation or funny business.
