Portsdown 4 Minor Update

Post by G8GKQ » Sat Jan 27, 2024 4:15 pm

I have just released a minor update (202401251)for the Portsdown 4 that introduces the following new features:
  • The ability to list other network devices or other Raspberry Pis on the LAN. Select from Menu 2, File Menu. Only works for 192.168.*.* LANs. Similar to "Fing" or "Advanced IP Scanner"
  • The ability to manually set an increased up-sample rate for transmissions using the LimeSDR. Setting an up-sample rate of 2 reduces the first shoulders out of the LimeSDR from -30dB to -50dB at SRs of over 1000kS, but reduces the output power by 6 dB. Select from Menu 3, Lime Config on from the Lime Menu on the SSH Console Menu.
  • The ability to control the 4 Portsdown band-switch lines based on the Centre Frequency whilst using Pluto BandViewer. The configuration file at /home/pi/rpidatv/src/plutoview/plutoview_bands.txt needs to be manually edited (using a text editor) to set up this advanced capability.
No need to update unless you want these new features. Please report any bugs here.
