Portsdown firmware Pluto
Portsdown firmware Pluto
Happy new year to you all!
AS a newbie I cannot get the right firmware into the Pluto.
I dit copy the Pluto.frm file from the BATC wiki
I managed to load it into the Pluto and the Pluto starts the firmware update correct as discribed at the Analog divices webpage.
Still I get on the Langstone screen M3 this warning!
THIS may not work with Portsdown
PLease update to v0.31-4-g9ceb-dirty
But where can I find this version?

Re: Portsdown firmware Pluto
I did Gareth, after a lot of reading and resetting the firmware it works after changing the IP adres to 192.168.2.1.
I donot understand why for Langstone to work it needs 192.168.2.10.
And also the warning on the M3 screen wrong firmware dit put me on the wrong track.
Anyway it seems to work, later this week I hope to send my first ATV signal on 70cm.....

Re: Portsdown firmware Pluto
It can work on any address assigned. For instance, I have my Portsdown on 192.168.1.100 and the Pluto is on 192.168.1.101

Re: Portsdown firmware Pluto
So it looks like both need a different IP adress. I did both assigned to the same adress!

The addresses have to be in the same subnet but different.

Hi Andre,
Nice to see another Dutchmen.
The 2 Ip adresses you mentioned are the 2 adresses a pluto creates on USB connection.
2.1 is the pluto and 2.10 is the default connected device (in your case the raspberry)
Both Portsdown and Langstone uses the 2.10 as its the raspberry and the pluto is the 2.1 as its the "router" of this network.
Be very aware your home network is not using this range eg 192.168.2.x...
If so you need to modify the pluto..
Feel free to PM me direct if you want to continue in Dutch...
