no otput power

Post by dk1ri » Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:43 am

I hope it is a minor problem only:

I installed Portsdown Buster 202204240 on a raspberry 4 with touchscreen and c912 Camera and Pluto with Version 0.34 (not 0.31-4.. as recommended)

I changed output to Pluto set my callsign and locator.
source is Webcam
No network or Wifi connected, no keyboard, no other monitor.

Pluto Power was set to 0. If I try to change it (0 to 71) (for 13cm) it stay at 0.
In the "Band details" menu (Tranverter_13cm) I can enter 0 only as well.

I set Band/Tranverter: 13cm. I hope, this is correct. (Direct cannot be selected)

TX Frequncy is set to QO100 10494,5.

The Picam / C920 Monitor works correct.

The Pluto IP adress must be 192.168.2.1 (with others Pluto is not found)

I enabled Plutos 2nd CPU (necessary ?)

When I press the tx button the camera switch on for a short time only and there is no output power

I cannot start the signal generator.

I guess that I have forgotten to set something.

Mni tnx for some help

Guente

To use the Pluto with the Portsdown (and signal generator) it MUST have firmware v0.31-5-g9ceb-dirty. No other version works properly.

The Logitech C912 Camera is NOT supported, even if it works for C920 monitor, it will not work for transmit.

Pluto power must be entered as a negative number like -10. 0 is the maximum, -71 is the minimum.

The band should be selected as "Direct"; it will then display as 13_cm. Do not select "Transvtr 13_cm_T".

Please try again with the correct firmware and settings.

Tnx for this answer.

Do you know where to find this old firmware version? On Github I found the latest version only. I have no idea how to create the old version.

The C912 camera was metioned somewhere. Which one is working instead?

Pluto power: ok, my mistake
Band direct :ok

Hi Guenter

The firmware is linked from here: https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Custom_DATV_Fi ... o_Firmware

The following Logitech cameras work: C170, C270, C920, C930E. I cannot find any mention of the C912.
