Thanks for the reminder Noel....memory gets worse the more I try and fit in....
Seems the screen is very much part of the problem, just tried a brief RF sniff with a TinySA. Not as bad on 70cms though, maybe worth 'picking a number' up there next time. I'll need to make another full wave dipole for use /P as my current one is my access to GB3JV.
Another thought was either the 'privacy screen covering' that they use in my local building soc if they don't want to show the screen to the customer, or, from the old days, the very fine metal mesh that CRT monitors sometimes had. That IS going back a long way, and eBay doesn't throw up anything.
Maybe the one-way metalized film would work, although might that upset screen operation?
