Gday all,
Ive just recently setup my Portsdown again, having been on the journey since the original version.

I notice the option to monitor the BATC streams, Ive discovered that it works fine for the streams that only have a standard callsign, eg: GB3TV or GB3VL, however here in VK3 we two streams for our Melbourne repeater, VK3RTV-1 and VK3RTV-2 neither of these display on the Portsdown 4 when they are active.

Is this possibly due to the 'special caracter' in the callsign and perhaps our naming convention for our streams has not been allowed for in the P4 software ?

Im yet to TX or RX anything on the new P4 yet as Im not fully setup and have terrain issues with the other ATVers around the place.

Keen to see how Knucker will perform in coming days......

Hi Phil,

You are able to receive e.g. GB3VL on your BATC stream viewer which confirms that your Internet set up is working.

You should be able to receive VK3RTV-1 and VK3RTV-2 if and when they are streaming to the BATC Stream.

Have you set the Stream Viewer callsign (VK3RTV-1) correctly ?
You can enter up to 8 characters for the callsign which VK3RTV-1 has.

- Select Menu 2 using the "Stream Viewer" button,
- press 'Amend Callsign'
- select a button with a callsign that you will need to overwrite with the new callsign,
- you will be asked to enter the new LOWER CASE stream for preset 'x',
- switch to LOWER CASE,
- delete the old callsign,
- enter the new call using LOWER CASE....vk3rtv...to get the minus symbol switch to UPPER CASE vk3rtv-...and enter the 1...vk3rtv-1 and press enter.
- you will be asked to enter the label for preset 'x',
- switch to UPPER CASE and type VK3RTV-1
- press enter and that's it.

you should now have a Preset button on Menu 2 with the new callsign, VK3RTV-1.

Hi Phil,

VK3RTV-1 is presently streaming and I have done some testing with the following results:

- using the callsign VK3RTV-1 does not work with minus symbol,
- Using the callsign VK3RTV1 WITHOUT the minus symbol does.

I have just been receiving VK3RTV1 on my Portsdown 4 so I can confirm that it does work.

I had thought that the - symbol was going to be the issue, to be honest I did'nt try without it as the stream viewing device(s) has/have always required it to be there.
I'll setup them up in the P4 later, "Happy Days"
