No output power out of the Pluto

Post by ON4RDB-ROLAND » Sun Nov 07, 2021 9:40 pm

hello,

I updated the Portsdown with the latest release 202110301.
Also the Pluto is extended. The F5OEO software is loaded into the Pluto (ver0.30)
I tested the Pluto with Langstone TRX and I have output power ( also the receive part is working well)
On the DATV side I can receive video via the Minitiouner ..no problem
But when I want to transmit video (testcard or C920) no output power. The blue light
on the C920 goes up for 1 second and goes down.

any idea...?

Please read this page on the Wiki: https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Portsdown_4_Pluto . It says:

Suitable Pluto Firmware
All testing has been done using F5OEO's "for the brave" Pluto firmware (FIRM2101RC of 5 February 2020). Extract the firmware from this zip file https://wiki.batc.org.uk/File:FIRM2101RC.zip and follow the instructions on this web page VERY CAREFULLY https://wiki.analog.com/university/tool ... age_update. The Pluto must already have been modified for extended frequency range, and it is worth enabling the second processor.

You can check that you have the correct Firmware loaded from the "Pluto Configuration Menu" (reached from Menu 3). It should report Firmware version v0.31-4-g9ceb-dirty.

So if you have V0.30 loaded, you seem to have the wrong firmware in your Pluto to use with Portsdown.
