Test Audio and Callsign

Post by mccla5214 » Tue Sep 07, 2021 4:32 am

Couple of additional questions,

When I select Audio Input Source of Bleeps, I have no output from the Portsdown 4 and Pluto. Any other input selection the system will come up as normal. Is there a test audio signal that can be selected to be output over the system like the testcard input?

Can I get my callsign to overlay the picture like in DBVT-Express?

Is there anyway to add text for subtitles?

Why does it show Service01 instead of my callsign under provider?

Thanks,

Mike/KA5TDA

Hi Mike

Sorry, bleeps only works for MPEG-2, not H264. I guess that I ought to document or warn about that.

Callsign overlay is also currently only available in MPEG-2, not H264.

No way to add sub-titles.

The provider text depends on your exact configuration, which you have not described. I do not have control over external code such as that used on the Pluto to define the provider text.

Do you have spaces or commas in the callsign that you have entered to Portsdown? That would account for your problems with the Contest input as well.

Hi Dave,

My callsign is listed as KA5TDA/TV1.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Dave,

Just removed the / from /TV1 and now contest works on the screen.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike

I think that you must have had a space in there, because KA5TDA/TV1 works in contest mode for for me.

However, the Pluto software (which is outside my control) does not cope with the / and substitutes Service01 in the Provider field. I suggest using a hyphen instead; that works for both.
