Logitech C920HD

I`ve bought a C920HD for G8VZT and the quality of the picture is poor so I shall return it to Amazon. Can someone recommend a webcam?

I'm interested to know what mode you were using that produced poor results. The C920 is the best webcam available for Portsdown at the moment. The newer models are not as good as the old ones, but should be perfectly acceptable.
Unfortunately, I don't have one to test with, but can try to offer advice if you tell me the nature of the problem.

Thanks for your reply. G8VZT has been using the Pi Camera Module and that works very well. I was hoping the C920HD would be a similar plug and play
Sorry, I don`t know much about the Portsdown 4. I take it there are some settings in a menu he should be looking at.

I'd be interested to know what model of Portsdown Dave is running (Portsdown 4 or the older Portsdown 2020) and what specific mode (SR, encoding, output device) he wants to use the C920 with. Then I can test here and make suggestions.
