Portsdown Pluto DVB-T OK but no DVB-S2
Portsdown Pluto DVB-T OK but no DVB-S2
I have just obtained a new pluto and done the firmware upgrade F5OEO. I plugged it into the USB3.0 on my Portsdown and did the frequency range extension. It now transmits nicely at 1mW output on DVB-T but there is no output on DVB-S or DVB-S2. What have I missed or done wrong
Portsdown screen shows test card or Pi cam picture but no webcam picture as normal but no output. I am doing something silly , I know.

I went on the wiki.analog and followed the instructions and put pluto.frm in the mass storage and ejected and waited for the fast blinking to end

Have you configured the F5OEO firmware via the web interface?
Re: Portsdown Pluto DVB-T OK but no DVB-S2
now it reads build v0.29 in the info file
Re: Portsdown Pluto DVB-T OK but no DVB-S2
I thought I did Mike but not sure now - what web interface?
Re: Portsdown Pluto DVB-T OK but no DVB-S2
So was it the firmware from the BATC Wiki? https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Portsdown_4_Pl ... o_Firmware
The problem is that they are all called pluto.frm

Re: Portsdown Pluto DVB-T OK but no DVB-S2
might have had the wrong one - trying again
Re: Portsdown Pluto DVB-T OK but no DVB-S2
just repeated it with FIRM2101RC.zip and now it transmits nothing at all

If you are using F5OEO firmware then in needs to be the version from last August, or the one shown in the Wiki. If you don't know what you are doing, best stick with the standard firmware the Pluto came with. This will be 0.31 or 0.32 if it is new. All Plutos have a web interface. Type it's IP address into your browser, if it is connected directly by USB it will be at 192.168.2.1
It may be you have a new RevC/D Pluto, in which case that's a new board, which is great, but it might be different so I would stick with its standard firmware until we know what might have changed.
