No decode displayed

My problem looks to have been the USB cable, which I assume was poor quality.
Also having a USB hub in the portsdown 4 box.

With the poor cable and/or the hub, I would get the signal lock, and stream ID decode, but no video.
With a better USB lead connected directly to the Pi, I get good reliable video display.


Now to get the easycap to work....

Good points Jules - and just because you try two leads doesn't mean both are not bad.

And there are probably a lot more bad ones out there than good!
