I want to experiment with another bit of software on the RasPi3 without deleting Portsdown.
How do I drop out of Portsdown to the terminal command line and alternatively, how do I stop Portsdown launching automatically?
Then, how do I launch Portsdown from the terminal command line?

Terminal command line on Portsdown 2020
Re: Terminal command line on Portsdown 2020
Press escape a few times, or CTRL+C but why not just use a different SD card for the other application?
Re: Terminal command line on Portsdown 2020
Hi Graham
When you ssh into a Portsdown 2020 (on an RPi3) you will get the ssh console menu. Select Shutdown, Exit to Linux, and all the Portsdown processes will stop.
To get it running again on the touchscreen, type gui and press enter.
You can set the Portsdown to simply boot to the command prompt (not Portsdown) by using the Autostart menu. If you need to get the menu up from the command prompt, simply type menu and press enter.

Thanks for the info Mike & Dave. I'm trying to avoid swapping the memory card.
Thanks for the tip about 'gui' Dave. I'll try that.
