Where can I set the service ID for the program on the output?

Hi

The Program ID can be set to your callsign from one of the Buttons on Menu 3.

The Service ID is not intended to be changed and is hard-coded in avc2ts.cpp. If you do change it, you would then need to recompile avc2ts and copy its binary to the rpidatv/bin folder.

Are there plans to add this to the menu? Some repeaters do require to have a specific SID.

No-one has raised the requirement before. Please could you be more specific:

• H264 or MPEG-2?
• What text do you need?
• Which repeater has the requirement?
• Are there any special requirements for PIDs?
• What output device? Lime, DATV Express or Portsdown F-M board (Not possible for Pluto)
• Which Portsdown version? Portsdown 4 or Portsdown 2020

I can then scope whether a software change is practical.

It’s not a text but just the SID, which is a value.

I'm still not clear what parameter within the TS you need to be set. Please could you define it in exact terms according to this document (page 44 or near) https://ecee.colorado.edu/~ecen5653/ece ... 3818-1.pdf

Sorry for the late response. Usually in a MSPT stream (Like on a BSkyB transponder on a satellite) you have multiple TV stations. Every station has it's own SID (service-ID or program-ID). Your settopbox will use this SID to get the right audio-PID, video-PID, PCR-Pid etc from the SDT table.

Even with only one service, this info should be available. Many Dutch ATV repeaters with DVB inputs are looking for the SID or APID/VPID. Like PI6ATV.
