Hello,

I had little time yesterday, but I had Portsdown4 installed.
With a Pluto I was able to send DATV in the shack ... I still have to get a little familiar with the operation ...

Great.

Since I also want to use the Langstone TRX I did the installation of the Langstone ..

After the first run "Install Langstone" was displayed again in the 2nd menu ... After the 2nd install run "Switch to Langstone" is displayed ..
Unfortunately, the Langstone does not start on my Raspi. After a few seconds on the black screen, the Portsdown Transmitter comes back ...

I had shot the Pluto over the network and now I thought about connecting it directly to USB ... The behavior is the same ...

Maybe an idea to fix that?

Thomas

Is this the same hardware as the direct-built Langstone card works on? If not, please try swapping the cards between the hardware.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

is the same Raspberry 4. I only write 2 different sd-cards..

I set up the SD card 2 times. Always with the same result.
Langstone TRX doesn't start with me.

I want to tx with dvb-s MPEG-2 on 13cm... The Pluto is not transmitting

Thomas

Pluto DATV is only an experimental capability for 2 modes at the moment. The only tested modes are Webcam H264 DVB-S2, and Test Card H264 DVB-S2. MPEG-2 is not implemented.

There is a limit to how much I can support. Please could you try to fault-find the Langstone problem? It works for me.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

of course you are right.

I will set up the SD card again and will report again.

BTW: is there a special development version in your github site?

Thanks Thomas

I have updated the Wiki page https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Portsdown_4 with this information.

Lots of items to improve in this software, hope to "open it up" again for more work later this week.

DAVE

thank you very much for all your effort.

It's great to do Fonie and DATV on the higher bands with one system.

With the QO100, many OMs have started to build on the higher frequency bands.
Pluto is very common there, so it was a good idea to implement Pluto in your development.

Perhaps one or the other OM can be persuaded to do terristic ATV.

We will install a narrowband input with the Ryde receiver in our repeater DB0OV. The Ryde receiver is already tested in my shack. Works perfectly.

Hi all,
I have installed Porstdown 4 and Langstone yesterday, no problem except the orientation of the screen, was able to copy ssb on QO100, nice!
This morning I made some test on QO100 DATV, excellent with Lime sdr, C920 or IPTS in, made a try with Pluto and I was only able to have TX with testcard input, no TX with C920, is it a normal situation for the moment?
Anyway, promising system, i need to finish the command of a coaxial relay to switch easily between Lime and Pluto!
Thanks for the work and the fun you gave us!
