Don't Try to Update at the Moment! - Updated

The Raspberry Pi Foundation have just issued a system update that may have broken some of the touchscreen display functionality in the Portsdown (all versions).
Until I work out what is going on, please do not try to update your Portsdown. New builds may also not be possible.
I'll update this topic once I know what is happening.

Hi Dave,
yes, for me was too late ... the 7" LCD doesn't work, if I chose on the SSH menu this LCD and then return to touchscreen mode it works but if I do a reboot it will not work again, it seems fixed on the 3,5" LCD ... I even suspected for an LCD fault and I replaced but the same problem ...
Thank you for the information, so now at least I know the reason!
will wait for a new update ...

Did they employ some new developers from Microsoft?

I have just published a new build/update (202007230) which deals with some of the problems caused by the the recent RPi kernel update. This only applies to Portsdown Buster builds; older Portsdown Stretch (or Jessie) builds are not affected.
- If your Portsdown is working properly, DO NOT UPDATE. This release will not do anything for you.
- If you have a 7 inch screen Portsdown that you built or updated in the last few weeks and the touchscreen does not respond, log in by ssh, select System Setup, and then select update. After the update and 2 automatic reboots, your Portsdown should come to life again.
- If you have a newly built or updated 3.5 inch screen Portsdown with a blank (but bright) screen, the only option at present is to do a new build - which should then work OK.
- If you have an old (pre-202007012) Portsdown Buster build that you want to update, it is probably safe to do so, but I would not recommend it at the moment unless you really need the new functionality.
- Portsdown A27 builds should not be updated (as they will cease to function) - please wait for the Portsdown 4. This issue may also affect new builds of the Langstone Microwave transceiver.
