Can anyone tell me what are:
a) the oldest verion of Portsdown that works with the 7" touchscreen, and;
b) the newest version that works with the Waveshare 3.5" touchscreen.
Also, does anyone know of a source of the Waveshare 3.5inch RPi LCD A screens that doesn't involve them being shipped from China? Mne has conveniently bit the dust this evening... the display is OK, but the touch isn't working. I could go to the 7" display, if that will work with the 2018 Portsdown (F-M board), but that would mean changing the case to a bigger one, which I dont want to do, really as the one I have is a very nice (and fairly expensive) one.

Re: Software/touchscreen question
Hi John
Both Portsdown Stretch 2018/2019 and Portsdown Buster 2020 support either screen.
Supply of the 3.5 inch screens is an ongoing issue. Going forward, all enhancements will be designed primarily for the 7 inch screen. That said, I continue to use a 3.5 inch screen on my main test and development unit.

Thanks, Dave
Is there a page on the wiki outlining the revision histories of the sftware, and laying out any hardware pre-requisites for each? Or will all of them run on both a Pi2 or Pi3?
My 3.5" 2018 Portsdown still has software from 2018 on it, I think - can't easily check the revison right now, as the touch isn't working, lol - but it's probably time I sorted out a new SD card ..,
I'm a bit miffed that the touch overlay has given up the ghost - it was working fine earlier yesterday, and it's not as if it's had a hard life... I had just set my mate off, printing a bezel for it so I could get the whole thing boxed up properly (and about to try and update the software)... powered it up again and although the display came on, there's no touch response
I suppose I'll just have to find a Pi project that can use a display, but doesnt need touch.
Breaking News: I've just had a call to say that the bezel is finished - I suppose at least I have a screen I can use to iron out any small hiccups in the fit.
