Hi Colin
Pleased that you found a good solution. I had not thought of using a transverter setting as a half-way house.
Look forward to seeing you on the net next week. Sorry I had to dash off.
Dave

I have just released a bug fix release 202003141. This makes sure that the LimeSDR Mini switches from transmit to standby correctly when being remote controlled from the console over ssh. If you only use the touchscreen, there's no need to update.
Thanks to John G4BAO for spotting the bug.

As Portsdown is the main use I have for my LimeSDR (NOT a mini) I'd like to keep the functionality it currently offers. I'm running a Pi 3B+ so I'm assuming I should stick with the last Stretch version? If I can go back to a version that I know works with my LimeSDR, I'm willing to experiment with the Buster image and lime changes needed to see if it (the LimeSDR) still works.
Or have I lost the plot here and its only applicable to RPI4's?
I could of course cough up for a Lime mini and a new Pi4, but as I'm not in a hurry to get on Q100 its not THAT urgent....as I have a pair of Plutos that run the DATV code quite happily....

Hi Gareth
Reference the LimeSDR USB. Stick with Stretch on the RPi 3B+ at the moment. I have just been lent a LimeSDR USB to test with, so hope to make it work with Buster in the next few days, and then issue any updates required. After that, Buster on a RPi 3B+ should be the way to go.
Portsdown does not yet work on an RPi 4, and won't work on one for some time!

Hi BG0AUB
Have you loaded the the Lime DVB FW on your LimeSDR Mini? Using the button "Update to DVB FW".

For BG0AUB
I have just reproduced your problem. It happens when you try to use Lime DVB mode without loading the DVB firmware on the LimeSDR Mini.
Quick fix: Select Lime Mini as the Output Device.
Slightly longer fix: leave Lime DVB selected, and reprogram the LimeSDR Mini with the LimeDVB Firmware.
Please let me know how you get on.

As shown.I tried to update the DVB firmware. In the test limesdrmini page display failure. The frequency spectrum of the test is still intermittent
I always doubt is one of China's network build errors.(though I've used when constructing portsdown proxy service)

Hi BG0AUB
It does not require an internet connection for the firmware upgrade. Check that the file
Code: Select all
/home/pi/.local/share/LimeSuite/images/v0.3/LimeSDR-Mini_lms7_trx_HW_1.2_auto.rpd
is present on your Portsdown
Code: Select all
ls -a /home/pi/.local/share/LimeSuite/images/v0.3/
That's the file it tries to use for the software update.
As another test, reload the Firmware 1.30, and then select Lime Mini as the output device. Does that work?
