Thanks Stephane

Good spot! This will have caused the failed install for Firmware 1.30 reported by a number of early adopters.

I have just corrected the install file online. For those of you who have already installed, if you go to the command line and cut and paste this command

Code: Select all

wget https://downloads.myriadrf.org/project/limesuite/20.01/LimeSDR-Mini_HW_1.2_r1.30.rpd -O \
               /home/pi/.local/share/LimeSuite/images/20.01/LimeSDR-Mini_HW_1.2_r1.30.rpd
and the press enter, all should be good afterwards.

Reference vMix input, John G7JTT conducted some tests on this last night and it appears to work.

The only issue is that there is a much increased delay from the previous build - about 20 seconds total round trip time on QO-100 at 333kS. I am now investigating this.

Hi Dave,

Just a thought. Is there any way to implement an RTMP server in a similar way to what Evariste has done in the Pluto firmware?

I think that would be a great addition to Portsdown and would allow Vmix, OBS, iPhone etc. to be used as sources of video.

I know you probably don’t have the time to look into this but it might be worth considering for the future.

Thanks Stephane and Dave.
Lime successfully updated to 1.3

Interestingly I am now seeing no rf output from the Lime (1.3)
All the tests pass on Lime report.

It seems to give 10dbm on the Express software of DATV so I haven't fried it.
Outputting to Lime Mini on the touch screen. Have tried a range of sr fec modulation source etc.

Have tried with and without a hub.

Have also tried updating to Lime DVB (and swapped output to lime dvb) with no joy

All other functionality looks good.

It feels like I've done something stupid.

Hi Dave,

just built Buster card and updated the Lime FW etc and it shows all tests passed. I found that my 7" screen was upside down so tried to invert it but it stayed the same. Rebooted and tried again and still the same. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Malcolm

I'll add the 7 inch screen inversion to the list of things to fix. It is most likely that the way to do it has changed between Stretch and Buster.

Hi,
The 7 inch screen inversion worked for me on 3rd attempt.
Rebooting each time.

Hi Martin,

mine finally worked after 4 reboots so maybe something simple to fix?

If only it was simple! I reproduced the (intermittent) fault, and then I put some diagnostics in, and of course it won't do it now.

As it works eventually, I'll leave it and spend the time on something else. The solution to these things tends to come up sooner or later.

Colin - re RTMP

I hadn't thought of putting an RTMP server in; good idea! It might be possible if I can get the source code from Evariste. I was going to try the other way first - making the Portsdown drive a Pluto by sending RTMP to it.

However, both these ideas are well down the list of things to do!
