Portsdown input PATERNAUDIO

Post by iz4ryb » Fri Dec 06, 2019 8:43 am

Hi,

I'm using porstsdown streaming with vmix, I need one pc for vimx and raspberry. Setting up Vmix, streaming bat and tcpip connection it is boring, so Ithought to use only portsdown with patternaudio.I've investigated the portsdown file system dir rpidatv/video and seen some jpeg inside. I've than tried to replace them with some other jpeg. Starting Tx I se the original jpeg.

Does anyone know how to manage his own jpeg files?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi

For PATERNAUDIO (tcanim) the default files are in rpidatv/video. They need to be named imz-nn.jpg, where nn is a number 00 to 99.

If you have the 7-inch screen connected (or selected), the files in rpidatv/video/7inch are used to get the aspect ratio correct.

Make sure that you replace files with ones of identical dimensions (pixel count).

Hi,

many thanks for your information.

A couple of more questions;
Can I disable bubbles ?
Is the 7inch selection automatic or should I change something?

Many thanks again!

Hi

I think that you can disable the bubbles by changing the code in lines 1125 - 1132 of the file /home/pi/rpidatv/scripts/a.sh https://github.com/BritishAmateurTelevi ... a.sh#L1125. The syntax is described here https://github.com/BritishAmateurTelevi ... v16.c#L328

The software auto-detects if a 7 inch screen has been connected, and then reboots to load the correct drivers, so no user selection of screen is required.
