I have just released a new software update for the Portsdown transmitter that includes a lot of minor fixes and some experimental code for controlling a Jetson Nano to do H265 encoding from an LKV373A HDMI input and then transmit it using a LimeSDR.
The change list includes:
- Add DVB-S2 pilots on/off
- Improve DVB-S2 selection labelling
- Add initial code for Jetson control
- Add user-configurable buttons
- Enable update from other GitHub users' repos
- Store user's previous config after upgrade
Initial details of how to use the Jetson Control code are here: https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Jetson_Nano.
There are 5 User-configurable scripts (which get preserved during software upgrades) which can betriggerd from buttons on the Menu 2, extra functions touchscreen. There are also 2 user-configurable scripts which get called at transmit selection and receive selection.
There are still problems with H264 encoding to the LimeSDR at some SRs and FECs. Evariste and I are still working on sorting this out, but it is not easy! Thanks to F5OEO, G4FRE, GI7UGV and M0DNY for their contributions to the fixes and new features.
