Pleased to report after 1.5 years, Portsdown TX working OK, now to build the PA box!!
Got to be the longest build on file!!

Yes, will post later, just got to do wiring to switching sockets on back panel for PA and C/o relays. Got to put on spectrum analyser tomorrow and thoroughly test, think might have small problem with LO filter.

I used two LM338 TO220 5 amp regulators to supply everything, the first one goes to 8V, then second to 5.2V, this keeps dissipation very low and of course no noise. Running the IQ board from 12v using internal regulator bolted to chassis and fitted 78S05 2A device.
Just need to wire in attenuator .
