Hi Dave, et al.

I appear to have resolved my problems re RPi3B in ugly mode straight out of new build. I believe the source of my problems was down to corrupted a image file on SD Card, RPi hardware seems fine.
Many thanks/

Progress, well some anyway. My nice expensive box arrived and the front panel when assembled only leaves 65mm vertical screen-space. This prompted me to 'bite the bullet' and embark on lots more CAD learning so I could design a screen case that WOULD fit my box. After many hours and 6 trial prints I'm happy with the outcome. Nice filleted outer edges and also leading down to the screen. Looks nice, IMHO. See attached picture. I have 2 RPI touch screens, both have the connection plug in a different place so I have made the back able to fit both.
My plan is to design internal sub-mounts that pick up on the fixing screw lumps in my box but also provide appropriate mounts for the RPi and its many other boards, mounting many vertically for economy of space.

If you want one of the new cases, I can print and post you one for £5 with a £1 going to the BACT. Payment via paypal friends and family, or add 5% please. If you want the .stl file to use on your own printer I will share it to BATC members on trust that a small donation will make its way to the BATC.

The old (109x76) and the new, for size comparison purposes. The new housing is 63x102.5.
