Option to have IPTSIN available on the touchsreen menu "Source"
Option to have IPTSIN available on the touchsreen menu "Source"
Hi Dave,
Not wanting to burden you with more requests, but could you consider having the IPTSIN option on the "Source" touchscreen menu at some point please?
Makes vMix (or equivalent) interesting!

Hi Ciaran
That one is easy - it's already done. If you go to the Encoder Menu, you can select it from there. The logic being that it is an external encoder (MPEG-2, H264 or H265) rather than a video source.

Re: Option to have IPTSIN available on the touchsreen menu "Source"
Hi Dave (again),
OK - this might be me just misunderstanding things but could you please explain what is happening?
If I set up the Portsdown with the following setup (Modulation = DVB-S, Encoder=MPEG-2, Output=BATC, Format=720p, Source-PiCam),and press on the "TX" button, I can happily see the stream on another browser. So that side of things is working.
If I now change ONLY the Encoder to IPTSin, and press the "TX" button, the stream (on another browser) remains inactive but the "TX", driven from the GPIO now lights up. This stays the same irrespective of whether I am running the vMix2Portsdown scripts (all modified as advised on the Wiki).
Does this imply that I am actually transmitting "On air" instead of streaming?

Re: Option to have IPTSIN available on the touchsreen menu "Source"
Hi Ciaran
Probably! I had never considered that anyone would stream to BATC from the IPTS input. Streaming only works from the Pi-cam, test card or EasyCap inputs, and is hard-coded to use the RPi hardware encoder with ffmpeg inserting the audio.
Why don't you stream directly to the BATC Server from the source PC?
