Portsdown software-Recovery

My problem is outlined already in the FAQ topics, namely, When I log-on, or attempt to start the Console Menu, it takes me straight to the Exit Screen, with the Authors comments, Thanks for using DATV etc.
Naturally, I have tried typing in the suggested commands but these are not, so I am told, recognised, or do not exist. Could I have, in some way, corrupted the software?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Gordon

The instructions on the FAQ are for the latest software. If you haven't updated your software recently, then the line you need to enter is:

Code: Select all

cp -f /home/pi/rpidatv/scripts/configs/rpidatvconfig.txt.factory /home/pi/rpidatv/scripts/rpidatvconfig.txt
Then restart the Menu with

Code: Select all

/home/pi/rpidatv/scripts/menu.sh menu
I'll add this info to the FAQ.

PS - If it works, it would then be worth you updating your software to the latest version; there have been some big changes!
