Shutdown button works well....

...but could we have a 'BOOT' function in some way? At the moment, I need to pull the plug as its still in 'scattered all over the bench' trial assembly mode. Could the existing button be made into a toggle function? 'Wake up on port change' in microcontroller speak.

No harm in asking.....

Tnx

Gareth

Hi Gareth

If you have a touchscreen connected, the "Reboot" button on screen 2 should shutdown and restart for you. The Reboot option on the Shutdown page of the console menu has the same effect.

Beyond that, all I can suggest is a heavy-duty push-to-break button in the power line as once the RPi is shutdown it's a brick.

Have a look at this thread - there are 2 pads marked RUN on PI3 and these could do what you want.

Yes, just fit a momentary switch to the “run” pads on the rpi3.
I do this with all my rpi projects.
