Dave...if I implement the hardware solution ...will there still be the ability using the new attenuator module, to have a different drive level on the ..70 Mhz / 2M transverter port?

Here is a bit of logic to eliminate accidental 70cm/23cm selection by the transverter switch. Other Nand gates could be used.
The resistor can be anything in the neighborhood of 10K.

A software method of using the 4M port for the transverter could be done with one additional output from the Pi for the RF output switch LSB.

Yes, with a slight rewriting of John’s logic, it should work with the attenuator logic as I currently envisage it.
