vMix 2Portsdown.bat error

Post by F1SSF » Sat Jan 06, 2018 5:22 pm

Hi alls,

I have an error with the bat file after configuring it like the wiki.
Input #0, dshow, from 'video=vMix Video':
Duration: N/A, start: 88481.377000, bitrate: N/A
Stream #0:0: Video: rawvideo (UYVY / 0x59565955), uyvy422, 768x576, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 10000k tbn, 10000k tbc
[dshow @ 06f74ac0] real-time buffer [vMix Video] [video input] too full or near too full (87% of size: 3041280 [rtbufsize parameter])! frame dropped!
can you help me please?
Regards, and happy new year.

I didn't realise the Portsdown could do 10Ms. I doubt the PI Ethernet could keep up.

Mike

Maybe I need to explain in more detail. It may not be related unless you are attempting to use a UDP transport stream. The PI ethernet shares with the USB2 bus. This is a bottleneck and you probably won't get the full 100Mbit/s bandwidth, especially if there is anything else using the USB. A symbol rate of 10M symbols per second is 80Mb/s is getting towards the limit and then there are the overheads. A simple test is to reduce the rate and see if it works.

hello,
At this time, I have use this wiki:
.https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Feeding_Video ... _from_vMix
So when I execute vMixportsdows.bat, I can set the SR, FEC....
The most little SR is 1000, I don't know more reduce the rate in the script.

Hello Franck

In my tests of vMix to Portsdown, I sometimes get frame dropped errors but without noticeable effect on the picture quality. How often does that error message appear? is it just occasional or is it a constant stream of error messages?

If you look further down the wiki page, there is a new "beta" version of the file that adds 333kS/s.

Hi Ray,
.is it just occasional or is it a constant stream of error messages?
It is a constant error à 95% , sometime I can see yellow correct lignes.
Ok for beta, I could test it this week.
See you later, tnx

When you get the errors, do you have the PC (that runs vMix and the batch file) connected via network to the Portsdown? Is the Portsdown configured for IPTS source and set to transmit after you run the batch file?

And do you receive pictures from the Portsdown?

Hi,
I have tested the file version with 333kc/s, same problem.
Yes the network is the same, Vmix is running and configured, RPI is setup in IPTS ,and Txing.

Hi alls,
After a long time, I have decided to change my computer , and I have installed again software.
It's OK now, Vmix, and VmixPortsdown.bat running very well.
Also I have some mistakes PASTE DURATION TOO LARGE during batch run.
See attached pictures, what do you think about it?

Hi Franck

Are the transmitted pictures OK? If so, do not worry. ffmpeg complains a lot, but does the work.

If you do not have a good transmission, then we need some information about what SR and FEC you are using.
