LO Filter...

Post by cashy666 » Mon Jan 01, 2018 8:07 pm

Happy New Year to all.

My recent attempts at constructing the LO filter resulted in clouds of
smoke and charcoal components. Having spent a few hours replacing bits
I've come to the conclusion it will be easier to start again.

All the bits have arrived apart from (U01) ADG904BRUZ-ND,
which non of the main suppliers have in stock (earliest delivery mid Feb).

Does anyone know of a supply? or has anyone got a spare in their bits box they
would be willing to sell?

many thanks
Dave

There are 2 UK stores on eBay that have them for £5
top-quality-tools and petelox
I have bought stuff from both in the past (they usually arrive in farnel bags)

Hi Charles,
thank you for the information.
unfortunately both only stock the 'R' type
and not the ND as specified.

Thanks

Hi Dave
If you look on the Digikey page for this part you'll see alternate packaging on the right side of the page; there are 965 in stock and available per unit. See CT (Cut Tape).

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/ ... ND/1007291

Order cost will be the problem if that's all you want, perhaps someone will add it to an order for you.

Hi, Dave

I might have bought a spare one of these 'by mistake' (don't ask) - i'll have a look when I get back home and if I did (and I can find it) you;re welcome to it at cost + postage. If I haven't, then if you're still needing one when I next put an order in to Digikey, I can add it on for you - same deal.

I used "R" type for the RFOutput switch without any issues. Assume that could be the same for the LO filter. Why not try? :D

You may want to consider one of these, if you don't have one already.

John, I would appreciate if you had a rummage through your bits..

Bernard, it says in the notes not to use the r type, as this is
my second attempt, dont really want to take any chances...

Mike,
not sure about the link you sent...

Hi, Dave
Sadly, despite rummaging through my 'most recently bought bits' box, I can't find the spare device... it must be here somewhere, because I've found the invoice(s) and packing lists, showing that 3 were despatched. If I do find it, in the upcoming days, I'll post again here and it's yours if you still need it.

:) I think Mike's (tongue-in-cheek) suggestion was that the casue of your mini-incendiary event might have been due to having the PSU volts set incorrectly :)
