RPI with DATV-Express

Post by wb6kwt » Thu Nov 16, 2017 2:27 am

I'm trying to get my Pi set up to use the DATV-Express board on 23cm. In the advanced setup menu, option 6, I set the power and then to the next screen, showing ports A through D, which port do I select here?

Thank you,

Those port settings are the configurable hardware outputs on the DATVexpress card - exactly the same as in the DATVexpress Windows software and should be set or left unset depending upon your own hardware config.

If you are not using any of the hardware lines to switch PAs etc, you can leave them unticked.

As Noel says, if you don't plan to use these ports, there is no need to configure them. However, if you want to know more and perhaps if you do want to use these ports, there is some good information in the DATV Express manual which can be found at https://www.datv-express.com/uploads/Us ... raft12.pdf The ports are covered on page 36. Although this manual is intended for windows, the hardware information also applies to the PI.
