Mounting Waveshare Screen

Can anyone suggest a way of mounting the touch screen display.

I have been searching for a bezel but drawn a blank.

I got one of these 3D printed using 3D hubs via Makerbot, it was $27 which isn't cheap but does the job well.

I ordered one of these to be printed via the Treatstock printing network. It cost me $10.95, being printed in Ipswich, taking 7 days to get here. I finally got round to mount the display this week. Mine did not fit. The issue was that, although the cutout is the correct size for the display "plastic", the PCB on which the LCD is mounted has a 1mm lip on both long edges, so would not fit in the hole. Some very careful filing of the long edges and now it fits. Portsdown construction can now continue

I looked at my other 3.5" displays, all of them have the flanges

Hi Dave

You have prompted me to draw how I mounted my display. I cut a large square out of the middle of my front panel and then framed the LCD with T-section aluminium from B&Q. I held it in place with right-angle pieces of aluminium and bolted it all together with 6ba nuts and bolts (I'd run out of M3 at the time). I used sticky rubber on the metal where it was making contact with the glass and the PCB. Note that the mounting strip at the left side and top and bottom of the display is very narrow. If the rubber butts up against a touch-sensitive area, the screen locks-up. The right hand side is much wider which brings its own problems with symmetry.

Front photo and cross-section below. If I did it again, I would use M2.5 nuts and bolts - this would enable me to totally hide the screws on the front panel; I just misjudged it with the 6ba bolts.
