Case suggestions ?

I have my Portsdown working in 'bread board' form but now need to select a suitable case / enclosure for it.

I plan on using the 3.5" display even though I have a 7" display attached at present.

Would be interested to hear what others are using case wise.

Also I've just ordered the HDMI extender cable for the camera but have yet to settle on a suitable enclosure for the camera - again any suggestions ?

Given the camera's small size I've considered machining one out of solid aluminium block !

Hi Tim,

My Farnell order for a case was this one: 1526706 G752A CASE, ABS, ALU PANEL, 245X175X90MM

thanks Mike,

I'd been looking at a similar case from Maplins, but will probably go with this one from Farnell as you suggest.

Now just have to think what else to get from Farnell to qualify for free shipping ....

Hi Tim
I posted a photo of my unit in the "fuse ratings" post. I couldn't face wiring it twice i.e. first time on the breadboard! It's a Farnell case with printed LCD frame. There's a wooden packing piece behind the screen inside the frame. I attach an extra view to show the data ports and the necessary shape of the pierced aperture for the HDMI card so the plug on the HDMI lead engages fully.

For the camera case

has a link to two camera cases for printing:-

and an elaborate one with lighting
