Pi camera levels

Post by ZL3TCM » Tue May 09, 2017 3:35 am

I notice when using the connect Pi camera on my Portsdown the levels are ok for inside use but if I point the camera out the window the levels are way too high and washed out, is there any settings that can be altered or ALC set? had a look but didn't see any from the menus

Currently I'm running the basic Portsdown modulator board and playing with the various settings and making the system a bit portable to allow some outdoor testing to be done, My Pi camera is running via and extension HDMI cable and pertit studios adapters at each end. Everything is working fine so far great project.

Hi Rob

I had similar problems when out portable (in the sun) at the weekend. This is a known issue and I have seen a fix in some of Evariste's development code, but it is not yet stable enough to push for general use.

The problem is not present in CAMMPEG2 mode, so that could be an option for you sometimes.
