Main board Build help required

Post by g6crf » Sun Apr 30, 2017 7:04 pm

Hi all, I am in the middle of building the board and have got to the point of installing U03 and U04.
The ICs are shown in the layout as having a notch at the top, however when delivered the chips have no notch, just a sloped edge.
Can anyone tell me which way around these go?

Thanks
Terry

Hi Terry,

take a look at the photo on the wiki. You should be able to tell from the writing on the chips.

Hope that helps?

Hold the chip with the sloping edge on your left and pin 1 is at the top-left corner. The sloping edge is on the same side as the impressed dot next to pin 1.

Thanks for the replies, that's definitely solved it for me.
Looking forward to when I get it finished.
Thanks
