PI to GPIO to screen connections

Gradually getting the bits together for the portsdown...tx board , gpio board are here ..awaiting PI and screen and LO to arrive.

Question is ....what breakout cables and connections do I need to go between Pi , GPIO board and screen ...believe a double header is required from GPIO board to screen ??

I know there's a link to adfruit ...but it says out of stock ...Farrell want a surcharge of £15 to order adfruit parts from USA.

Lots of parts on eBay ..but unsure what I need ...please answer here.

Mainly intend to operate 70cms as within 146mhz exclusion zone here in Essex .

Hi Steve,

I do agree we are a bit light on documentation on actually connecting up the modules but the core team has not had time - there is a section here https://wiki.batc.tv/Assembling_Portsdo ... akout_card but it is not a wire by wire description.

It is something I'm looking at but it's actually quite easy and is something everyone else can contribute to.

The stacking header is available here http://www.robotshop.com/uk/2x20-stacki ... GwodDIkDGQ

Thanks Noel for link
Yes know you guys are busy and have other lives apart from ATV :D

Been going round in circles on the wiki , eBay , Farrell today ...not sure what cables I need ...yes looks simple but not having the pi and screen here not sure what connections are on the boards ....

Perhaps people could post a few links here to what they are using and where they got it ...then it could be put on the wiki site .

Thanks
Steve

There is now a Portsdown module interconnect diagram on the wiki page https://wiki.batc.tv/Assembling_Portsdown

Hope this helps - more to come...

Sorry another query re inter board wiring.
On gpio drawing Noel put on wiki , it shows JO4 on GPIO board linking to the ADF4351 .
Where does connection 5 on JO4 go to ....no line on drawing.
Also on ADF4351 it's marked 5v .....all the ones I've seen are marked 3.3v .

Still waiting for ADF4351 to arrive from china ...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Cheers
Steve

Pin 5 JO4 is the 5volt supply to the ADF4351.

Mine runs on the 5volts from that connector; there's an on-board regulator on the ADF4351 board.

The main power connector can take between 4 and 9 volts.

I struggle with the waits from China too; bite my nails to the quick.
