Hi
I've been waiting for somebody else to answer, but it seems that they don't want to!
If you are considering using the narrow band transponder as well, it would make sense to convert up from a frequency near to where your SSB prime mover will transmit. Portsdown will quite happily provide a video signal on any frequency between 140 and 1500 MHz.
The output power on 2400 MHz is very low (-9 dBm) so you might avoid problems by converting up. If you amplify directly, you'll certainly need to be careful with shielding.
Hope that helps
