Hi Dave
Have upgraded and have a few questions. When I go to Pattern and TX, I do not get test cards on screen. If I go to Camh264 or cammpgeg2 with no camera connected I get what I had before upgrade, the BATC Logo. Also the bottom two rows have lost their text and have large letters, bottom line row of 5 Ms, next line up row of 5 SRs!
I upgraded from last update 20170306. I should add that initially after upgrade the screen looked as it was before the upgrade, after a reboot it lost the symbol rates and frequencies, also had to enter call sign, screen type etc.
Cheers

Hi Andy

Sounds like the configuration file has been lost or corrupted. This happens occasionally, but I have not been able to find out why. Please could you think of anything that might have caused this?

To cure it, you should do a factory reset (advanced setup, option 9). You will then need to re-enter your call sign and locator, but everything else should go back to normal.

Hi Dave
Done as you suggested and so far normal service resumed. Cannot think of anything that would have triggered this after upgrade, shutdown correctly etc.
One thing I did notice after entering locator, it took a while to update with a message "unary exception" or something like that.
Cheers

New Software Release

I've just issued a new release 201704080. This is a minor update, but it should fix the issue which has caused many users' displays to inadvertently revert to the TonTec display. It also introduces support for the Waveshare Type B display (select in the display menu and reboot) and German language menus.

Thanks to Ken W6HHC for pinpointing the TonTec issue, Rob ZL3TCM for testing the Waveshare B solution and Rainer DG8KD for the German translations.

There is no point in upgrading if you don't need any of these features, but it should be a more reliable build.

OK Rob

You are the second person to report this. I'm thinking about the cause and will get back to you. In the meantime, I hope that your Portsdown still works?
